I forgot my LAMP Host username or password! What can I do to recover it?

I forgot my LAMP Host username or password! What can I do to recover it?

If you have forgotten the username or password to your LAMP Host account, there is no need to worry. As long as you have access to your e-mail address, resetting your password or reclaiming your username is quick and easy.

Step 1 -- Request a new password

Browse to LAMP Host at http://www.lamphost.net . In the upper right-hand corner of your screen is the login form to the LAMP Host Control Panel. Beneath this box is the option to "Request new password". Click this link and enter your LAMP Host username into the form on the next page. If you have forgotten your username, you can opt to enter your domain name into the form instead.

Step 2 -- Check your e-mail

Instructions on resetting your password will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your LAMP Host account. Check your email address for an email from LAMP Host titled "Replacement login information for LAMP Host." Click the link provided in the e-mail (or copy & paste it into your browser) for a one-time login into your LAMP Host account. Upon logging in, you will see your username in the upper right-hand corner of the screen ("Welcome, [username]!") If you are resetting your password, proceed to Step 3.

Step 3 -- Reset your password

Important: Now that you are logged into your LAMP Host account, it is important that you use the 'Change Password' form to set your password to one you will remember (as the link provided in your e-mail will only work once). Upon logging in using the e-mail link, you should be redirected directly to the 'Change Password' form. Should you need to change your password again, you can find the 'Change Password' form in the Control Panel menu by clicking Account Manager --> Change Password.
